Louder Than Words is queer-led, neuro-affirming, and committed to creating a therapy space that is respectful, accessible, anti-shame, and anti-therapy-speak.
Our approach
We aim to work in ways that respect lived experience, identity, communication differences, sensory needs, culture, sexuality, gender, relationship style, disability, neurotype, class, body, faith, and background.
Neuro-affirming practice
We do not see neurodivergence as something to fix. We aim to understand each person’s nervous system, communication style, capacity, preferences, strengths, and support needs.
Queer-led practice
We understand that queer and trans people may have had to explain, defend, or minimise themselves in other spaces. We aim to reduce that burden and support people without judgement.
Accessibility
We welcome conversations about access needs. This may include communication preferences, session pacing, camera on/off, sensory needs, written information, breaks, reminders, or other adjustments.
Feedback
We will not always get everything right. If something about our language, process, website, or service creates a barrier, we welcome feedback and will take it seriously.
